Research
1. New Zealand biodiversity and the impact of humans and introduced plant and animal species on our vegetation.
2. The structure and development of root nodules on our native podocarp trees and the significance of their Va mycorrhizal associations to tree growth and distribution.
3. The plant cell wall, in particular the influence of microfibril angle to cell wall stiffness in timber.
4. Scanning electron microscopy and image analysis.
5. Consultant forensic wood identification.
